E! ENTERTAINMENT ESTRENA 2a TEMPORADA de THE BRADSHAW BUNCH

Interview with Rachel Bradshaw and Lacey Hester

  1. First of all, we would like to know how became the idea of returning for a second season of ¨The Bradshaw Bunch¨ on E! Entertainment.

Rachel: I think we were all very surprised. Obviously when you put your life out there and you’re a brand new show, it’s kind of slim to none that you get a second season – but we were all, obviously, hopeful. But just everyone’s reaction… I was honestly really nervous before it aired because E! is a big network and it’s kind of a big deal, and it was just really nice that people loved it so much and related with us a lot and I feel like we made a lot of people smile and laugh. And when we got a season two, I didn’t really believe it at first and then it became pretty real – but I think we were all pretty excited about that!

  • What can we expect of this new season?

Lacey: I would say for this season you should expect a lot more laughs, a lot more family bonding, just the opportunity to get to know each of us just a little bit more, more intimately, and see more of our day-to-day lives.

Rachel: Season two is going to be… first of all, double the episodes – 17 episodes is a lot! And you really get to know everybody in a different version and we go a little bit more in depth into who we are. In season one we were all kind of clumped together – there was a lot of me and dad doing interviews and a lot of Erin and Scott – so this season we all come together a lot more and we got to film a lot more together, which makes it a really fun dynamic to watch. And we got to travel a ton, which was really fun.

  • After two seasons of the show, how is the relationship between you? Do you feel like the familiar relationships are growing in a positive way?

Rachel: Obviously when you spend this much time and you work together in your family you become so much closer. I don’t think I’ve ever spent this much time with my dad my whole life, so it’s really special to be able to go to work but it also be family. It’s so comfortable – and I think if you’re filming and you have cameras in your face and doing a reality show, it’s already a little nerve wracking, but when you get to do it with people you’re comfortable with, it makes it just so much more fun. And viewers can feel that vibe and that good energy that we’re all being our genuine selves.

  • How is your life after being in a reality show? Did you expect to be on TV in a format show like this?

Rachel: I think when you see yourself back on a television screen you just become more aware of [things] – like I cussed a lot in season one, so season two I’ve tried to be a little more careful about that! I never thought I would ever do this, especially with my family, and for everyone to agree to do it. But it’s definitely kind of surreal – and it’s weird, I was turning on E! this morning and we were all over the place! I’m used to seeing dad on TV, but to see us [on TV] constantly is kind of surreal.

  • How is rural life in Texas? Would you recommend people to move to a rural city?

Rachel: We all have land and animals, and Erin and dad they all have ranches and horses, but it’s just so tranquil and so peaceful to wake up and not be woken up by a siren or something. So I would highly recommend visiting Texas, or just the countryside – it’s just so peaceful.

Lacey: Since we’re in Hawaii, I feel like it’s a funny question because Hawaii is more like out in the middle of nowhere there than here! But I love it out here; the people, the flow, the quiet and quaint, and everyone is really kind. So I would definitely encourage [people to visit] Texas.

  • What does “family” mean for each of you? Could you describe it in 3 words?

Rachel: Family is trust, happiness and security.

Lacey: I would say empathy, compassion and friendship.

  • What is the most relevant about this TV show for you guys? What do you want to share with the audience? Sharing fun, positive emotions, familiar values…. Tell us about it

Rachel: I think to take away the concept of being with family and loving each other. Especially with some reality television you see a lot of fighting and a lot of negativity, and I feel that we bring back that all-American family. We all love each other and we all have our personal, deep stories and even when I’ve seen our show back, it gives you a warm and fuzzy feeling. So, I want people to take away a happy feeling when they watch the show and the true feeling of being a family.

  • Why the Latin American audience of E! Entertainment should not miss this new season of ¨The Bradshaw Bunch¨?

Rachel: I think it’s just going to be a lot of fun to watch. If people loved season one when we were so restricted – we couldn’t really go anywhere and so we made the best of what we had – season two, you’ll get to see us do a lot of really cool things, like Celebrity Family Feud. That’s already aired but you’ll get to see that process. And my dad and I sing at the Grand Ole Opry. Everyone’s got these stories so it will be fun to watch that all unfold in a much greater depth than you saw [in season one]. Season one was fun but a little more surface; you got to meet all of us, but you’ll really get to know everybody [this season] and I think we all have a very empowering story that all different types of genres can connect with.
