New ViX+ Original Thriller NOCHE DE CHICAS Premieres February 24
MIAMI – FEBRUARY 16, 2023 – ViX+ unveiled today the trailer and announced the date for the premiere of its new original production NOCHE DE CHICAS. The short-format thriller will premiere February 24, with all six 30-minute episodes becoming available at the same time.
With dramatic tension guaranteed from the first moment, NOCHE DE CHICAS is a story of friendship and revenge in which the women are not just victims but also the executioners. Five friends on a voyage of self-discovery have a chance to deliver their own justice. Lola planned her revenge for months, but things start going wrong when her childhood friends return home unexpectedly and soon find out about her plan. Lola is left with just two options: convince them to either look the other way or join her plan.
The cast features Mexican actress Aislinn Derbez (“De viaje con los Derbez,” “La casa de las flores”) and Spanish actresses María León (“Sin fin,” “Historias par no contar,” “La voz dormida”), Leticia Dolera (“¿Qué te juegas?,” “Vida perfecta,” “[REC]3: Génesis”), Silvia Alonso (“Instinto,” “Hacerse mayor y otros problemas,” “Tierra de lobos”) and Paula Usero (“Llenos de gracia,” “La boda de rosa,” “Amar es para siempre”).
The series is based on an original idea by Javier Naya (“Las pelotaris 1926,” “El barco”) and Sergio Cánovas (“The doorstep”) who is also the showrunner and director of the series. The directing team also includes Roberto Girault (“Onyx,” “Los árboles mueren de pie”) and Antonio Díaz Huerta (“Estoy vivo,” “Gallo”). Oscar Cifuentes(“Onyx,” “Café Amargo”) is the executive producer. Javier Naya also heads up the team of screenwriters that include Carolina Daza (“Vis a vis,” “La Cara B”) and Sara Alquézar (“Días mejores,” “El último show”).
