Apple Inc. (Apple) has posted some store specific job openings for Hyderabad, India, which is seen as a significant step towards expanding its retail presence in the country. This development has sparked widespread speculation about an Apple Store opening in Hyderabad, says GlobalData, a leading intelligence and productivity platform.
An analysis of GlobalData’s Job Analytics Database revealed that Apple posted jobs for the role of Senior Manager, Manager, and Store Leader within its retail division in February 2026 for Hyderabad location. Candidates for these positions are expected to have experience in retail, sales, and related fields.
Sherla Sriprada, Business Fundamentals Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “These job postings could be an early but meaningful indicator of a potential new Apple Store in the city. The inclusion of Store Leader, Senior Manager, and Manager positions suggests Apple is staffing the top layer of a store organization. These roles are foundational for hiring the broader team ahead of launching a new retail location.”
The Senior Manager position will have responsibilities, as outlined in the job description, including recruiting, developing and leading a team, coordinating operational strategies, maintaining procedures, and executing plans to achieve store performance goals. The role also requires addressing customer and team concerns, and safeguarding company assets. Similarly, the Manager role would be responsible for floor leadership and developing and leading a team.
The Store Leader role would be responsible for recruiting, building and leading a team alongside coaching teams, managing performance, meeting business and staff needs, and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Sriprada concludes: “The recent Hyderabad job postings fit into Apple’s broader retail trajectory in India. The company entered India’s physical retail market in 2023, opening flagship stores in Mumbai and Delhi. Since then, Apple has expanded into additional urban centers, including Bengaluru, Pune, and Noida. And now hiring in Hyderabad suggests that the company is moving forward with its plans to enhance its retail footprint in city. If this becomes official, it would be Hyderabad’s first Apple Store.”
