MIAMI – NOVEMBER 11, 2022 – The second episode of the new version of MUJERES ASESINAS (Killer Women) will premiere exclusively on ViX+ this Friday, November 11. The episode “La niña ladrona,” stars 17-year-old Mexican actress Barbie Casillas (Lupe), Arcelia Ramirez (Teresa), and Leo Casta as (Raúl).
The second episode in the reimagined anthology tells the story of Lupe, a girl who is kidnapped from her parents’ hands by Tere, who forces her to work in the streets to earn a living. Raul, Tere’s son, becomes her protector and boyfriend, but that does not stop Tere’s abuse. Everything goes downhill with the arrival of a 6-year-old girl in Tere’s home turning Lupe’s world upside down.
With stories inspired by real life, the protagonists of this series did not have simple, happy lives. After trying to improve their lives and failing, these women reached their limit and found violence as their only solution. The reboot of the award-winning anthology that became one of the most popular series on Mexican television almost 10 years ago, will showcase stories inspired by real events, with new episodes weekly.
